With effect from the 25th May 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulations came into force. The Harpenden Cat Hotel recognises that control and use of personal data is of huge and increasing importance.
The Harpenden Cat Hotel believes that all persons should have the right to control their personal data, and is committed to upholding this right through it's actions as a business.
The Harpenden Cat Hotel is committed to protecting your privacy. We have provided this policy to lay out the information concerning your personal data and how we use it.

The Harpenden Cat Hotel collects names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses on the Booking Form. This Booking Form is used to gather information about your cat/s, and about yourself, in order for us to be able to provide the best service we can, to you and your cat/s, in all aspects of the care we provide. It is also used to enable us to handle repeat bookings in the easiest and most efficient way. The data that we collect is not used for any other purpose.
We are committed to taking the minimum amount of personal data necessary to provide our service to you. This data will be retained for the minimum length of time necessary for us to provide a continuing service to you, and will be permanently deleted if and when you you tell us that you no longer require that service.Where you provide us with an 'alternative contact' name, address and phone number, please ensure that you have asked the person's permission for you to give us this information. This person is welcome to ask to see, and have a copy of, this Privacy and Data Protection Policy
The data supplied by you is stored securely, both in individual paper files and in our digital data base. We take every precaution to safeguard your personal data, and while we are confident that the risks to you are minimal, we promise to declare any data breach that may affect personal data that we hold.
We will not share your data with any third party unless we are required to do so by law. We will not sell your data to any third party.
You are entitled to see what data we hold on you, at any time. You can also ask us to make changes, remove information etc, as you require. Please let us know if you do not wish us to keep your data on file following a period of boarding, and we will be happy to delete all your personal information from our records. Please, however, be aware that, if you request us to delete your personal information, then for each and every subsequent booking we will require you to complete a new booking form and provide us, again, with all the information we need in order to provide you with our boarding service.
Credit/Debit card details are collected by The Harpenden Cat Hotel during payment at the beginning of a period of boarding by our 'Point of Sale System’ Worldpay. This data is transferred securely to Worldpay and not stored by The Harpenden Cat Hotel.
As part of our 'booking in' procedure, you will be asked to confirm that have read and understood The Harpenden Cat Hotel Privacy and Data Policy on how your data is collected, used and stored.
